Fabricated Abduction Claim...
No charges? I don't understand how the tax payers of Georgia can let this stand. All of the resources that went into looking for Jennifer Wilbanks I'm sure add up to be a tremendous amount of man/woman hours=money that tax payers are going to have to foot. Having never married, I can try to understand the concept of "cold feet" before one "ties the knot," but to lie about it to her family and authorities seems to bring about some sort of criminal act in my mind.
A nation that has recently been through the likes of a murder case such as the Laci Peterson trial seems to be aching for news porn that keeps people glued to the tele or computer screen via news sites. I don't think this woman deserves jail time of any kind, seeing as how most of our jails and prisons are over crowded with non-violent criminals, but to let this woman go on without any sort of penalty seems absurd. What's going to stop the next person from trying to get this nation's attention or to get their claim to fame by simply making up a story that takes away from much needed resources that should be focused solely on keeping our country safe from terrorists?
I do think the tax payers of Georgia and New Mexico should form a class action lawsuit against Jennifer Wilbanks for tying up said resources. The tax payers should definitely seek to have her, at the very least, repay the bill that accrued during her so called "abduction."
Sound off.
